Meet Geoffrey Moore at EMC World 2016

The HBO comedy, Silicon Valley has done a great job at poking fun at the areas race to disrupt and innovate. Receiving a TechCrunch Crunchie award or being featured in a Business Insider listicle is ideal for gaining the attention of early adopters, but outside “The Valley” is where the opportunity lies.

crossing the chasm

It’s that hurdle alone that Geoffrey Moore, best-selling author, and management consultant, wrote Crossing the Chasm, a book focused on the challenges start-ups face with selling to mainstream consumers. While first published almost ten years ago, his insight and real-world examples, hold the test of time, and might be even more relevant today.

Zone to Win

With his most recent book, Zone to Win, Moore guides companies with large portfolios through the same journey. To drive this transformation change, he believes it’s critical to segment the enterprise into four zones, each with its resources, management systems, and key metrics.

For Brocade, this is our sweet spot as the network fundamentally determines how fast an organization can innovate and change. In these environments the network must become a platform for business innovation.

In a Brocade sponsored Guru Session, Moore will be joining EMC CTO John Roese to offer a unique perspective where business meets technology, in this age of disruption. Brocade CMO Christine Heckart will introduce the session.

The session is Tuesday, May 3 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. and Moore will be at the Brocade booth 612 sign copies of both of his books, Crossing the Chasm and Zone to Win from 4:00 – 4:30 p.m. We hope you can stop by and join us.
