sql server dropping san connection

I have a sql server on our san dropping connections at random times.  There are no errors on the san.  Would the autonegotiate cause a performance degradation or anyone see anything useful in the info below?

Re: sql server dropping san connection

do a portstatsclear of that port and see portstatsshow again and again. see if the following(bold) errors are increasing, also check porterrshow

you may have to change the SFP/Cable or you may need to upgarde the HBAs' firmware and driver.

Re: sql server dropping san connection

did you have checked the storage port and ISL as well?

Sometimes a server lost its connection due to target resets. This can happen if another server which is zoned to the same storage port sends target rests. Than all connected server on that port will drop the connection and restart the communication. Check all other servers which are connected to the same storage port if they also will have such issues.

I hope this helps.
