scripting switchs

I want to run a script on a brocade switch 300e.


to create zone, alias, ect.

From what I know, you have two choices:

1) Adopt something that initiates a Telnet/SSH session to the switch and pushes the required commands to the switch console prompt. That could be an "expect" utility or "Net SSH Perl" library etc...

2) Login to the switch as root and then create manually or download your scripts from FTP location, and then execute it right in the Brocade FOS (i.e. Linux) bash shell. This is not so much supported so you are going to do it on your own risk.
