Hey Everyone,

I dont remember root password and factory password or these passwords were changed earlier.

Is there a way to reset them without reboot or disrupt the switch.

I have already tried the default passwords and they are not working now

pls help to reset those default account passwords

Re: root or factory password reset

Password recovery, is the most common discussed question.

Please use the search option here in the community, and you find a lot of threads.

However in few words, the answer is No.

If you have forgot admin and/or root password, or both, you must reset the password with password recovery procedure, and the switch must  be rebooted.

if you have no access to the procedure, must open a call with Brocade or OEM Supplier, Support and maintenance contract is required.
