question on slow drain

I have one of the switch ports generating high volume of "Class 3 receive frames discarded due to timeout" errors..

Does it mean, the device is a slow drain device ???

rakesh,

such timeout error are usually caused in 8G Plattform's by exceeded distance.

If the Port is a ISL Port, try follow:

Set the E_Port in question in LE Mode, and enable flow control on both site.

You should first set the port disable with command "portcfgpersistentdisable"

keep in mind this command is traffic disruptive.
