extend fabric brocade 300

hello,new to this forum,

a customer wants to migrate data at a new storage.we have 2 new brocade 300E.there is no zoning at the old.they all see the same.

iwould like to ask if i connect the old brocade with the new brocade (isl) i ca see the old storage and then i can do storage vmotion to the new?i dont need to connect the new brocade with a port at the old storage?

Generally speaking connecting the new Brocade to the old via ISL will work for what you describe. The only caveats will be the compatibility of firmware between the two different switches. This information is available in the FOS release notes.
