error encountered on the HOST

Hello All ,

This is my first post here :

I am getting this error from the HP-UX 11i v3 (11.31) Host  connected to Brocade DCX Backbone

vmunix usdadspsbduh0 lun path (class = lunpath, instance = 123) belonging to LUN (default minor = 0x1a) has gone offline.

What could be the issue ? could this be a zoning issue ? Please advice !

Re: error encountered on the HOST

Usual suspects --  portCfgFillWord, cabling, SFP.

For a better answer I'd need to have a look at portShow <hostport#>, to start with.

Zoning is unlikely because (1) you've seen the LUN and (2) this looks like a link-level problem.

Re: error encountered on the HOST

Hello Linar,

Thank you for looking into it -

Port status looks good to me , though .Is it with the Host itself , HPUX hosts 're know to log out from time to time .

Also, there isn't any SAN storage going to -5001438002ae1fd4

Re: error encountered on the HOST

well then,

next up, you're running rather old driver version. Consider upgrading to the current release, B.11.31.1103 (but mind possible kernel patch dependencies too).
