What is " 8 Gig FC license" stand for ?

as title. some of 8 gig switch have it, some didn't.

This licence feature allows an 8Gbit/sec capable san switch like a 5300 to operate any compatible installed 8Gbit/sec SFPs at the full 8Gbit/sec.

Otherwise all the ports in the switch are all limited to operational speeds below 4Gbit/sec even when an 8Gbit/sec SFP is installed.
