I would like to ask your support about Brocade X6-8 director's decimal index numbering of the FC ports, when the slot 3-6 & 9-10 are populated with 48 FC port blades (Visio drawing: https://imgur.com/a/V7yWQtt).
How the index number (what 'switchshow' command shows) is calculated?
I'm asking because the configured director is not procured yet, but I try to create migration plan from the old Gen4 director in advance.
I have tried to figure out what could be the decimal index numbering of the FC ports of this configuration, but I have failed because there are 48 and 64 port FC blades are available, and I'm not sure does the FOS 'reserve' extra 16 number for that case if I replace the 48 port FC blade with 64 port FC at a later time, or in that case the system will recalculate/rearrange the index numbering?

It may help others, I have got answer via different channel:
"the indexes are reserved by increments of 128 for the 8-slot chassis (8 slots of 16 ports). This is because blade densities differ or increment by 16 ports (historically available in 16,32, 48 and 64-port models).
The first group of 16 ports run from 0 to 127, second group 128-255, and so on. That way, when you swap blades of different densities, the indexes stay the same."
