You won't gain anything. Trunking is strictly for ISLs between switches.Unless you're talking about trunking between the two switches, but that wasn't clear. Trunking allows you to "load balance" traffic between all ISLs between two switches. Trunking also gives you failover should a single ISL fail the others inthe trunk will pick up where it left off.
