Is it recommended to have separate switches for Windows and Unix? What are the pros and cons?
That could be expensive. Generally, when you use single initiator ZONING the hosts are all in individual zones and therefore the Operating system does not come in to play.
No it's not recommended. There are no pros, just keep all initiators (HBAs) zoned seperately.
