Pre-sales question Silkworm 12000

Does the 12000 has the possibility to build a fabric via the backplane or do I need to connect 2 E-ports on the front with a cable. The documentation isn't very clear about this.

erwin -it is not possible to build a fabric via the backplane on the silkwom 12000. the switches can be externally cabled together although check out some of the best practices or DDM (design deployment and management) guides first.
