Hi all,
I need to replace a Brocade 5000 for one Switch McData Total Storage Works 4/32M-2.
The Brocade 5000 and 3 others McData are part of a same SAN integrated with 2 IBM DS4700 Storage and 12 IBM Xseries 3650 Servers.
This Brocade works with one Mc Data over one DS4700, and the other two McData are connected to a second DS4700.
The target of this move is normalized the installatión of the two DS4700 with 4 McData.
Brocade FOS version : 5.3.0 (yes.. is older)
McData Firmware Level: 09.02.00 8
I hope that you undestand the explanation.
Thanks in advance!!

Do you want to Migrate McDATA to Brocade in Interop-Mode or in Native Mode ?

as per my understanding:
1. you have 1 brocade and 3 McDATA SWs in one Fabric, in this case merge the 4th McDATA to the existing Fabric, and remove the devices from brocade SW and connect the same to 4th new McDATA.Once you have removed all the devices from Brocade SW to new McDATA sw, remove the ISL between McDATA and Brocade and by this way you can remove the brocade 5000.you have only McDATAs and all the devices connected to this McDATA fabric.
2. if not like this then provide the fabric topolgy or describe the way your devices are connected to the current fabric.provide a clean scenario.

Hi all,
Thanks a lot for the explanation.
For the moment the migration has rescheduled to another time.
When we do this, i´ll tell you about the results.
Best regards
