I know that Microsoft is touting MPIO in W2K3 but does anyone know if it is supported natively by the OS?

From what I've read, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but MPIO is only there for vendors to write to a common API for multipathing. Vendors will create "Device-Specific Modules" for their product that will use the "core" MPIO code from M$ to their multipathing and load balancing.Hope this helps...

You are correct, there is still a requirement from the OEM's to integrate there Dual-Pathing code with MPIO, I have bounced this off HP, and of course if they do this they may lose revenue for Secure_Path.

Unfortunately HP seems to be extremely slow in implementing MPIO. EMC announced it several months ago, but HP still hasn't delivered.

HP has had MPIO for EVA for quite some time, as amatter of fact they reccomend MPIO over securepath
