When looking at the event logs on a DS-24M2 the Event Data is "The 32-byte hexidecimal description of the event in words."
Is there a document which describes how to decode this 32-byte hexidecimal description ?

I see that code 514 == SFP/XFP optics failure. But how can I read the Event Data ?

here as example about Code 514
Event Code: 514
Message: SFP optical transceiver failure.
Severity: Major.
Explanation: An SFP optical transceiver in a UPM card failed. The amber LED corresponding to the port illuminates to indicate the failure. Other ports remain operational if their LEDs are extinguished.
Action: Replace the failed transceiver with a functional transceiver of the same type.
Event Data: Byte 0 = port number (00 through 63).
Byte 1 = engineering reason code.
Bytes 4 -7 = elapsed millisecond tick count.
