We recently added some HP servers (model 3440) to our 48K Brocade director. These servers are being rebooted each night due to application issues and we noticed that the reboot is causing millions of errors on the switch ports. We have upgraded to the latest hba driver 11.11.16 but that didn't help.
The hba's are branded HP but are actually QLogic.
Has anyone had this problem and knows how to resolve? Thanks

On which port are those millions errors?
What counter(s) specifically?
Other than rising counters, are there real issues on your fabric?
If it doesn't have an effect on your SAN, do you really want to fix this.
Going on a limb here, but from you remarks about driver level and model number is looks like you're running HPUX11.11 on an RP3440.
HPUX11.11 is 12 years old, try upgrading to 11.31 or at least 11.23
Rebooting upgrading the OS new drivers etc are al workarounds as you state you need to reboot because off app. issues.
Better get that app fixed!

Hi DMD127,
would you mind posting portErrShow or portStatsShow for the ports in question?
