Got error ID 11 lost fabric connectivity with a 825 HBA on my W2k12 server

Hi everyone,

Thank you very much for your help in advance. My first time being here~~

Currently my collegue has already installed a 825 4G 8G HBA card on a Windows 2012 server on a Dell Box. He tried to connect it to a Dell Tape drive. However, he was not able to see the tape drive on the server. The server keeps getting the error ID11, which says it lost the fabiric connectivity. He updates all the drivers, including the card itself. But the problem remains the same.

He made sure the tape drive must be functioning as he connects the tape drive with another 2012 server (but with different media).

So may I ask what to do to resolve the problem? I did some research, but I found couple posts saying the firmware should be updated... So should I do that? If so, is this the correct link? They called it "boot code"?

Brocade Adapter Drivers: Microsoft Windows

Thank you very much again for your help!
