Hi There,
If I am routing from site A to Site B over DWDM do I need 7800 / FX8/24 switch at both sites ? or can it be 7800 / FX8/24 at site A as backbone with EX port on it and any other brocade switch at site B as edge switch and E port ?
thanks and Regards

Hi,
No, you don't need 7800 / FX8/24 at both sites. If you're routing via DWDM, you can use only one of this switchs in one site and configure the EX-port on it.
On the other hand, in order to use FCR over DWDM, you can take advantage of the integrated Routing license, that is available for DCX, DCX-4S, 5100, 5300, VA-40FC, 7800 and BES switch. So if you already have any of these switchs, you can configure it as a router.
Kind regards,
Felipon
