Default SAN Policy - Configuration Policy Manager Report

What is the concern/issue/problem reported on this report with regards to "Fabric - Check the number of initiator ports zoned to each storage port is less than or equal to 1" ??

We have Storage Ports with initiators counts from 2 up to 57. Is this necessarily a problem/concern? Thanks.

Hi,

It menas that each zone should be configured between one Initiator - one Target.

For example, this zone is OK:

zone: host1

Initiator: host1

Targer: NetApp1

This zone isn't recomended:

zone: host1

Initiator: host2-hba1

Initiator: host2-hba2

Target: NetApp1

Target: NetApp2

Isn't it expected to have, let's say 4 storage ports, two on an 'A' side and two on the 'B' side...and zone multiple hosts to those two ports, each side?
