Expanding an existin trunk from 2 ports to 4 ports on a DCX8510 running 7.4.x or above. When I add the new ports is there any intteruption at all in the ISL traffic when the new ports are added?

Yeah, I would normally agree on the 2nd trunk, but I have an oversubscribed 32Gb Trunk and need to temporarily add some bandwidth until I can get the approval to move the host ports for this application the same direcctor as the storage ports

Normally not, but I'd do it in a quiet time just in case if something goes really wrong. I hope you've already tested the new links using the dport functionality.
I also hope that this ISL is not the single available path between the connected switches, because otherwise it might be more beneficial to connect these new links to a different DCX ASIC and form a new two-port trunk in addition to the existing two-port trunk.
