Can ISL oversubscription cause port errors???

Hi Pals,

One of my clients has one 2Gbps 3850 connected to two 1Gbps 2800 switches in the fabric. The design of the single fabric is pathetic and I see these ISL oversubscription errors, since the backup is doing read from storage and write to tape through the same ISL.

WARNING FW-ABOVE, 3, eportRXPerf001 (E Port RX Performance 1) is above high boundary. current value : 81412 KB/s.

The ISL oversubscription has been there for ages but from the past 2 weeks there are port errors on the 2800's.

Port errors as seen here.

1: 1.5g 1.2g 1 1 1 0 1 9 0 0 5 5 0 0 <= on sw001 ISL to sw003

1: 2.0g 1.1g 1 1 2 0 2 14 0 1 3 3 0 0 <= on sw002 ISL to sw003

Question : Can ISL oversubscription cause port errors like bad EOF, CRC etc???
