Brocade zoning

I'm new in Brocade zoning, I have 2 Brocade 10 8Gb FC switches in a IBM BladeCenter E. I have 3 servers HS22 in this BladeCenter. I connected a storage IBM V7000 on these Brocade fabrics. Each controller of V7000 is connected to one Brocade fabric through 2 FC cables.

All of hosts should access to the same volumes located in the storage.

I need help to create aliases, zones to be able to connect my 3 hosts to this storage via my 2 Brocades.

In eache Fabric, I created these aliases and mapped their WWN, each host has one WWN and the storage has 2 WWN:

My question: should I map the alias to the WWN located under Ports or WWN parent?

Are these aliases correct and enough?

I created these zones:

zone1 :   host1_a, v7000_a, v7000_b

zone2 :    host2_a, v7000_a, v7000_b

zone3 :    host3_a, v7000_a, v7000_b

Are these zones correct?

I create one config containing :

zone1, zone2 and zone3 and I enabled it.

I need your help, thanks a lot in advance.

Re: Brocade zoning

Hi Abbas,

Yes, the WWPN (WWN of the port) should be used. For more info about how to zone in a V7000 environment, please have a look at the zoning rules in the V7000 infocenter:
