Hello my friends,
This is my first time writing a post and I hope I can be clear enough so everybody watching this post can understand me.
I have two Brocade 300 SAN Switches and I would like to know if they come already pre configured with a default IP address in order to connect to them through an ethernet cable or if the first time connecting to them must be through a db-9 serial cable and I have to set their IP address manually.
With that already said, now I have another question and particularly for me it is the most important. I would love to have both switches configured as a redundant fail over path for my hosts connected to the storage. I couldn't find any related information on the Internet on how to set up HA High Availability on the Brocade SAN Swithces. Do someone know where can I get detailed information on Brocade SAN Switches HA?
Well, thank you very much for your cooperation and I will move now to wait for your kind support and/or suggestions.

My first recommendation would be to make note of where you would find the documentation for the 300.
(exert from the HRG)
Setting the switch IP address
You can configure the Brocade 300 with a static IP address, or you can use a DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server to set the IP address of the switch. DHCP is enabled by default. The Brocade 300 supports both IPv4 and IPv6.
For your second question, I'd reference the LSAN Zone config section of the Admin Guide and use the 'san design best practice guide' as a high level design consideration guide.
