Was wondering if somebody could help me please, ive been chasing my tail on this one for a week now and im sure im missing something obvious but just cant see it, so i have two Broadcom 300 Fibre switches both on firmware v5.0.1b which im trying to upgrade, im looking at doing a disruptive upgrade to v7.0.2, i have downloaded the file and extracted it to a folder.
Im then using 3CDaemon as a FTP server, and going via the instructions using the command firmewaredownload entering the IP then the username, filename and password, but it just seems to sit on firmwaredownload has started and then fails.
I cant see any errors on the 3CDaemon side of things, and have reset the password a number of times, ive tried connecting to the route of the v7.0.2 folder, and to a folder above that, all with no success at all.
If anyone has any experience or advice it would be very much appreciated.

You cannot upgrade to that version. You need a significant amount of intermediate version before youĺl be able to use FOS 7.x

Many thanks for your reply, i have only just seen this.
So what your saying is i need to go though the various versions from v5.0.1b?
I have just gone onto the Broadcom downloads page and i cant seem to get any v5 downloads, they all seem to start at v6?
Is this why im the error "firmwaredownload failed. (0x12) Cannot access package list (.plist) file"
