Bladecenter Brocade 4G 20 port to Cisco MDS 9000

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this already, but is the only way to get these two to talk at the 6.x level (No more mode 1) to put the Brocade into AG mode?

Yes No as I've understand from both

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/modules/ps5991/prod_white_paper0900aecd8044c807_ps5990_Products_White_Paper.html

and

http://community.brocade.com/docs/DOC-1639

Cisco is able to run in interopmodes with Brocade being in native mode.

Which advantage do you have to run a bladecenter  IO module in switch mode instead of access gateway mode in a mixed environment?

I am intrested in any feedback.

To be honest I have no experience with mixing Cisco and Brocade switches but I would avoid this kind of configuration.

I would assume that the impact on the CISCO is lower if you run the modules in AG mode.

Andreas

It's an existing setup, not mine, so not my call to make.  This may be a possible soloution should we not get the interop to work.
