Re: BROCADE 300 SWITCH SYNCING

Hi Taiwo,

so you have a zoning conflict:

NTPR:admin> fabStatsShow
Description                  Count   Port    Timestamp
---------------------------  ------  ------  ----------------

..
                    Zoning:       7 <     9  Fri Aug 25 09:33:12 2017

..

it is not the defzone - since

NTPR:admin> defzone --show
Default Zone Access Mode
        committed - All Access
        transaction - No Transaction
NTPRD:admin>

NTPRDSNW2:admin> defzone --show
Default Zone Access Mode
        committed - All Access
        transaction - No Transaction
NTPRDSNW2:admin>

You have an active on NTPR since

NTPR:admin> switchshow
switchName:     NTPR
..
zoning:         ON (ZONE_CFG_NTEL)

And on your secondary

NTPRDSNW2:admin> switchshow
..
zoning:         OFF

So, I would clear out any old zoning on your secondary, and then bounce the ISL port.

NTPRDSNW2:admin> cfgclear; cfgsave

NTPRDSNW2:admin> portdisable 9; portenable 9

Re: BROCADE 300 SWITCH SYNCING

oK , MARTIN. There is no Zone on the secondary switch but I only have the ALIASES on it. The Aliases were pushed from the Principal to the secondary but no Zone was pushed across.

Should i flush out all the pushed ALIASES and work on the sent commands?

Thanks

Re: BROCADE 300 SWITCH SYNCING

Hi Taiwo,

you need to remove the alias defined (configclear; cfgsave) on your secondary switch. And then bounce the ISL (portdisable 9; portenable 9). And it should merge.
