Hello... I have 2 x brocade 4424s connected to an ax4-5 SAN (and dell blades connected to the 4424.. each blade HBA is connected to each 4424 for Redundancy/failover)... and we want to connect another SAN (cx3-20) (just initialized so no data on it) to the existing switches.... Basically it was plug and play when i first setup the ax4-5 but i think i might have to implement zoning with the addition of another SAN? .. Or will the 4424s automatically configure this for me?
The 4424s have different domain IDs and the default (all access) in the zone config...
I am just after some instructions if i have to do zoning... (also..with minimal dowtime)
Cheers

whenever you need to give access of any initiators to any target you need to do the zoning. In this case if you want to give access of DELL's to CX320 you need to do the zoning.

So should i go through and do (on the first switch)
Create an alias for every WWN
DELLserver1_HBA1 - WWN
SAN1 A0 - WWN
SAN1 B0 - WWN
SAN2 A0 - WWN
SAN2 B0 - WWn
Create zones
DELLserver1_SAN1 with (DELLserver1, SAN1 A0, SAN1 B0)
DELLserver1_SAN2 with (DELLserver1, SAN2 A0, SAN2 B0)
Create Zone Config and add DELLserver1_SAN1 and DELLserver1_SAN2
and then on the 2nd switch the same procedure but with SAN1 A1, SAN1 B1, SAN2 A1, SAN2 B2 and DELLserver1_HBA2...

exactly the same. you have to save the config with cfgsave, and enable it with cfgenable. if you find it correct pls correct the thread
