3 Brocade SAN Switches 300 series

Hi there, I have 3 Brocade switches, two are old, they are connected together with a link, one switch is set to be a principal the other is Subordinate. Domain ID's are different. I just got new switch and I would like to add it to the loop. Can someone please guide me whats the safest way to do it?

here are few things. Old switches are Fabric OS v6.2.0c, the new switch is Fabric OS v7.4.2

can I safely connect this new switch to my old setup? If yes, do I run link to the switch that is principal switch? how do I configure this new switch to be a second Subordinate and be able to use it to extend my fabric? Please help.

theoretically with FOS 6.2.x, you are in range with the compatibility to FOS 7.4.x,

however:

you don't specified if the new Switch is Gen4 ( 8Gbps ) or Gen5 ( 16Gbps )

in a case is 16G  you have to consider few things.

In summary, is high recommended to have the same FOS level in the same Fabric
