  • 1.  Competitive Uninstall Query

    We want to use the symantec competitive uninstall utility on the CD2 installer of SEP to remove TrendOffice Scan and install SEP. I noticed that the extension file is AUT. Can someone advice me how to use it? Do I still need a third party software to run this on a client using TrendOffice Scan? ty.

     From what I can see they are AutoIT scripts. I don't know a heck of alot about AutoIT (I do know eTrust doesn't play nicely with AutoIT UPX packed executables!)
    Here is where you can download AutoIT and I would assume, run the aut scripts http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/

    Hope that helps point you in the right direction - maybe a bit of clarity in the documentation might help Symantec ;)

    Go through the readme.txt file inside "CompetitiveUninstallWrapper" folder.

    It clearly tells how to use this wrapper and script's with SEPM.
