Migration overview: Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.x on-premises product to Symantec Endpoint Protection.cloud

Nov 02, 2015 03:03 PM

Hello,

The Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition 12.1.x product has reached End-of-life and is set to be replaced by the Hosted (or .Cloud) version of the product.

This does NOT mean the customer needs to immediately upgrade their product. Customers will be able to renew their on-premises license and continue to use their SBE SEPM’s until 2018.

Customers will have the option of keeping the on-premises edition or they can migrate to Symantec Endpoint Protection. Cloud.

However, Windows 10 operating system is not supported with SBE 12.1 RU5, in that case customer will have to upgrade to SEP.cloud.

Please be aware of the official announcement in case you haven't received yet.

Hi,

It's not possible to migrate from SEP SBE Cloud to SEP EE Enterprise.

Only from SEP SBE on premises version to Enterprise version upgrade is possible.

For second query i think license team would be in the better position to answer the queries.

1. How can i migrate from SEP SBE cloud to SEP EE onpremise?
2. is there a minimum number of days to expiry that my SEP SBE cloud license must have to enjoy the discounted migration license rate (cross-grade license)?

 Thanks for your expedited feedback.
