Query for best practice to migrate VIP EG

Hi Broadcom support,

We plan to move VIP EG instance from windows server 2012 r2 to windows server 2019 and looking for a best practice to do it. I do came cross this document to export and import the configuration settings. Is it possible if we setup the new VIP EG environment first and import the configuration from old environment. Once confirmed the new environment is fully functional, we will remove the old one.

Is this the right practice to do the migration?

Hello Atifah,

As you suggested, the recommended action is to perform a fresh install of VIP EG on the 2019 server, then import the 2012 r2 settings. (this video might help). If you plan on a re-IP of the 2019 server, do this prior to importing the settings. Please refer to the upgrade guide.
