Subject: Package Delivery vs. Quick Delivery
For task-based delivery, we generally encourage customers to use Quick Delivery rather than Package Delivery, Package Delivery is legacy technology from the pre 7.x days. We did not deprecate the Package Delivery functionality in order to provide backwards capability., Quick Delivery tasks were introduced in one of the early 7.x releases, One of the primary advantages of Quick Delivery is that it uses software packages stored in the central software library that are referenced in the software catalog.

Subject: Package Delivery vs. Quick Delivery
Hello All,
I've been using this product for a number of years and have never asked this question. I've always used "Quick Delivery" for distributing software but am curious what the difference is or the benefits/use case for distributing software using "Package Delivery".
Can someone provide some further insight as to why one may use one method over the other?
I've looked at each and cannot determine a difference. Maybe I am missing something.
Thanks!
Jeff
