Need installer for SEP 14.3RU9 Build 11232.9000 For Dark Site

I need an installer for my dark site.  My Entitlements only has a download that contains SAV64.dat and SAV64.info.  Or please tell me how to install the SEP version otherwise?  I do have a case open but ... I AM WAITING ... Yesterday the tech did attempt to assist by having me create an .exe from a SEPM with access to the internet but the .exe will not install on my dark site.  HELP

Login to the Broadcom support portal and go to the "My Downloads" section.  Select Endpoint Security Complete.  There should be a few downloads there for Symantec Endpoint Protection. 

See if there is one for "All clients".  My site shows a file named Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_14.3.0_RU10_All_Clients_EN.zip.  That zip file will have the SEP client in it.  I would extract the Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_14.3.0_RU10_Win64-bit_Client_EN.exe file from the zip file that you downloaded.  Even though the extension of that file is .exe, it is a zip file.  I would extract the contents of that with a program like 7-zip.

Otherwise, you can download the Full Installation package.  It will be an .exe file.  That file is also a zip file and you can use a program like 7-Zip to open and extract files from it.

The full installation package has a folder in it named SEPx64.  That folder contains all of the files needed to install the SEP client on a dark network. 

Either way, make sure to run the setup.exe and not the Sep64.msi file.

I will look at that … so you are saying SEP 14.3 Build 11232.9000 For Dark Site is part of the RU10 download?

No, I am not saying that at all.  I am saying that stand alone client can be extracted from download section of the portal. 

I just referenced 14.3.0 RU10 because it is the most current version of SEP available now.  You should be able to find similar downloads for SEP 14.3 RU9 as well.

We have been using Symantec Endpoint Protection for years, so when I go to the “My Downloads” section and select Endpoint Security Complete, I get all of these releases and more…

If you want or need SEP 14.3 RU9, then just go ahead and click on that version. When I do that, I see all these downloads available. We always choose the “Full Installation” download, which is a self-extracting zip file, hence the .exe file extension.

Interesting, in my entitlements there are three files with the smallest containing endpoint clients for supported operating systems.

As a compressed file it has the name, Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_14.x.x_RUx_All_Clients_EN.zip so I am unsure why it isn't visible to you?

I understand you were able to get a installer from your On Prem SEPM manager but the SEP install doesn't work on your dark site. 

Starting with SEP version 14.3 RU8 and later we require Microsoft Trusted Signing (formerly Azure Code Signing) support for a successful install.  I suspect this is likely involved in your issue but I haven't seen the logs.  When client machines don't have internet access they are unable to download the latest certificates as well.
