  • 1.  Need help to white list specific youtube URL from specific website

    Hello Team,

    Could you help us if the below mentioned scenario can be possible.

    Device - ASG-S200

    Issue - Unable to allow specific youtube video

    1. Architecture-

    Few people/user/clients have youtube access and few dont have.
    and we have whitelisted on URL which contains one youtube which need be white listed for blocked users.

    Steps performed -

    1. Tried to **** youtube URL from webaccess layer - issue same.
    2. Created CPL layer but still unable to access.
    3. Moved rule to top and checked still same.
    4. Created new webaccess layer with rule still same.

    Can anyone help us if this can be possible on the to allow specific video which is existing in the whitelisted URL.

    Hi Siva,

    I hope you are well. The first thing I would check would to see that you are SSL inspecting the traffic going to youtube. If you are not SSL inspecting, the ProxySG has no visibility into the file path of the URL, and so will not match anything specific. For example, if your rule is to allow only www.youtube.com/abcd then all the proxy will see is youtube.com, which is not a match to youtube.com/abcd. Check to see that you are SSL decrypting.

    Also, if you find you are SSL decrypting, but it still is not working, taking a policy trace is a good next step to see why a rule isn't matching, or if maybe it is, but something else is overriding the decision later in the policy.

    Hello Jacob,

    Thank you for the response.

    SSL intercept is enabled. However we are unable to access youtube post creating **** for specific youtube URL.

    1. Few users have full access to youtube - able to access youtube video which is in one website.
    2. Few dont have access - whitelisted , CPL created with substring but still same.

    Is it possible to allow in below scenario ?

    Allow youtube for few users ..
    Block for few users .
    White list one website which contain one youtube video
    want to white list that specific youtube URL.
