  • 1.  Hardware information is only displayed in the resource manager

    Hi all!
    After executing the rule for exporting and uploading inventory files to the parent server, all inventory information about the hardware is displayed in the resource manager, but not in the summary (basic) information in the console ("Management" - "Computers").
    What could be wrong? In rule setup and data completeness?

    Also, on some computers, the wrong management server (original NS) is displayed.

    Hello John Benson!

    If we are talking about Hierarchy environment, then this is expected behavior because these replication rules are disabled by default.

    User can enable these replication rules on Child ITMS Server and perform complete replication UP to Parent ITMS, then HW & SW inventory data will be populated on Parent ITMS for client computers which are managed by Child ITMS server.

    John Benson: Also, on some computers, the wrong management server (original NS) is displayed.
    IP: This is also expected because these computers aren't managed by Parent ITMS and are managed by Child ITMS.

    I'm sorry, I'll clarify.
    The situation is as follows - there are NSEs that are loaded via EvtInbox (NSEs are obtained by offline inventory).
    And it turns out that the information was loaded - there is a record about the computer, there is information about the installed software, but there is no information about the equipment in the frame with information about the agent.

    Hi John Benson!

    Yeap, now I understand that this is related to offline Inventory scan package from non-managed client computers where Symantec Management Agent isn't installed.

    As far as I see, you are using ITMS 8.1 RU7 (This version is end-of-life so no fixes will be available https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article/173849/symantec-it-management-platform-end-of-l.html ). I tried to reproduce this for 8.1 RU7 or 8.7 and see that it works OK on my side for offline inventoried machines Windows 10 or Windows Server 2019. Data is shown for "Hardware" or "Drives" sections using I.E 11 (11.0.9600.20874)

    Try to use devtools in browser while opening this place in console or any other remote I.E browser to make sure that this is not related to browser glitch.

    You can make sure that exact data is available in database for affected computer, using SQL query below
    This stored procedure returns Hardware data
    EXECUTE spGetFullPageHardwareSection @resourceGuid='put here your computer GUID'
