So first we built our server from scratch to 3.3.12

We have the latest win pe version as well.

We have injected our drivers Dell pe pack a03 to our Wim file and we added any additional drivers needed for older models that were not getting the correct speeds.

Our issues is we are trying to get details on the Tftp/mtftp setting as we have a new model Dell latitude 5450 and when we try to image to this one we have slow speeds but everything else is normal fast at creation and restoring.

We used 1456 which we have used for the longest time and works fine with all our old models but we really notice the speed goes up a lot more if we raise the number. We have tested a lot of higher numbers but we found that 1586 is really stable for the most part and allows that Dell 5450 to run at a fast speed.

After further testing I'm find that I'm getting inconsistent results on a few models Dell latitude 5310 and optiplex 5060 if the speed for some reason goes to 4100-4500 on the restore the images on creation or restore will randomly crash and we getting a connection error on the ghost cast server program.

Any ideas for me to try please advise and also what logs in ghost cast would be helpful as the client isn't returning any errors the server just gets the

An error occurred during GhostCast transmission.

If this error persists, please contact technical support and have GhostCast server and client error logs available.

If we lower the speed in ghost cast to force it to 3500 I have yet to have it crash the connection so my logic is there is something to do with the speed.

We are also saving our images directly to the server drive and doing the restore directly to the computers.

The speed we see on some other models like 5420 and 5440 are around 5000+ and never crashes just for reference.

    Hi Michael Tavares,

It seems that the Ghost tool is failing at some point, which causes the GhostCast server to show a connection error. When the Ghost tool fails, it usually creates a log file. Please search for the ghstwarn.txt file after a failure occurs. It is located in the working directory where the Ghost tool was started. Typically, if GhostTool on endpoint is executed from the eXpress share, this is under ..\eXpress\Deployment Server on the GSS server .

You can also enable GhostCast logging by going to GhostCast Server > File > Options... > Troubleshooting section, and set the Log Level to Informational. Please be aware that setting it to All may produce a very large log file.

    Thanks,

    Roman
