  • 1.  Finding Microsoft SQL Servers

    Posted Aug 18, 2022 02:38 PM
With the end of support of Microsoft SQL Server 2012, I need to provide a list of these to my sites so they can get a crack on and migrate their databases.

Does any have a way of findings all instances of SQL Server 2012 in the environment?

    Regards
    Richard

    Hi Richard Wand!

Need to make sure that all managed computers recently sent their basic inventory (to avoid out dated basic inventory)
Agent health summary is helpful to identify old basic inventory

You can use information from "Inv_AeX_AC_NT_Services" sql table to get list of computers where SQL 2012 server is running
    For example
Download attached "List of managed computers with SQL 2012.xml"
Open SMP Console and import this .xml

    Best regards,
    IP.

    Hi Richard,

Your Software inventory will also collect this data and can be seen in the Installed Software report.
