  • 1.  Edge Proxy (ProxySG) on Proxmox hypervisor

    Hi all,

    I'm having trouble getting ProxySG and CAS appliances to start on a Proxmox hypervisor. I've tried both the VMware and KVM images, but the proxies won't start.

    Has anyone successfully managed to start a ProxySG on Proxmox? If so, could you share the emulated hardware settings you used?

    Hi Matthias,

    I had some positive experience with PVE 7.4 and SGOS 7.3 (image for KVM): https://youtu.be/czIB5WouMxA

    If I'm correct, key options: vga = none (otherwise you will got boot loop), add "serial0" after VM creating with wizard, and importing system disk with option "--format qcow2" (otherwise - yes, you will got boot loop).

    I have tried to setup CAS on KVM (Ubuntu, Centos, PVE, etc.)  many times, but unsuccessfully:)

    Dear Web C,

    thanks a lot for your response. With your help I managed to set up an Edge Proxy on Proxmox. One other crucial point (in addition to those you mentioned): I had to use the qcow2 image of SGOS 7.3.13.2 (as you did in your video). When I tried the same with a newer version booting failed as the image signature could not be verified. A later upgrade to 7.3.21.1 was successful.
