I found the following How To: http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO101650 ...guessing this is my problem. :) How do I get the update rollup? I tried hotfixes in the SIM, but to no avail.
Thank you so much for the quick response! Will try that!
You could do that... the Task Generator calls the Item Management service to get all items that are a task type themselves. You could probably do the exact same thing, provided you know the item type guid.
From there, you could export the item via an ExportItem/ExportItemXml generated web service comp to get the "guts" of the task so that it can be reimported as a temp task type like in the video above.
Thank you for the video. Curious if there is a way to import tasks from SMP to Workflow, ideally to present them as an option to an end user on a webform?
Pretty nice video, would be good to integrate the "Run Script Task" into the ASDK so it could be made available via a Web Service, would be easier to use than building up an XML and importing it into the SMP.
Like the hidden web services that allow you to create "Software Delivery Policies" and "Quick Delivery Tasks" or the not so hidden web service that allow you to create "Patch Management Policies".
I would like to see all those nice and usefull web service being into th ASDK or Workflow Solution.
