Hi,
permissions are fine.
SQL error is rollback transaction error.
this happens for all users. local/gss user and ad user.
we upgrade with same user as gss installation. user is also service account for gss.
User is sysadmin in SQL Server
we upgrade first frm ru1 to ru4 -> error above
snapshot back then
we now upgrade to RU3 -> everthing is fine
next try to ru4 same issue like above

Sounds like the update may have changed the permissions on the SQL user. From what you provided it looks like write permissions might be off.
What is the SQL error you're getting when you want to rename a job?
Does this happen for every user who opens the console?
What version of SQL are you using?
Did you upgrade using the same user as you did when you initially installed it?
On my test server, I did the SQL Express install included with the installer. It looks like it just creates a SQL user for the current logged on user and assigns it sysadmin in SQL and maps him to the DBO user role on the eXpress database. I would start in SQL Management Studio and look at the access and permissions granted to your user on the database.

Dear all,
after Upgrade to RU4 we see that the agent update tasks are empty.
Second Issue is that we cannot add new tasks to a job.
3rd error is that if we want to rename a job we get a sql error.
Any Ideas?
Best regards
