  • 1.  SEPM SQL DB Issue

Hi. We have 2 SEPMs running 14.3 MP1 with an off-box SQL server. Both SEPMs are configured for Load Balancing. Recently we changed the SEPM sem5 SQL DB password. We run the server configuration wizard again on SEPM to update the password. It ran fine.

However, now when we login to SEPM we get the unexpected server error. After that the "Home", "Monitors" and "Reports" tab are blank but the other tabs are visible for policies, Admin etc etc. In the scm logs I see the error Unable to open the database etc.

    How can this be fixed?

    Hello,
It seems that there are problems with the report user on the SEM5 database.

You can work on all groups and policies and the sem5 user will write it to the DB, but for reports and logs there is a second user like REPORTER_sem5 or similar.

You can see the same thing if you have a mirrored DB environment and the DB fails over.

    Hope this helps
