    Hey guys,

So I've just done an installation of the DLP 15.7, configured everything, imported solution pack, got the policies automatically created after the import, added detection server. When it comes to packaging an agent, I realize there's no option for Linux. This is when I realize the product may not do what I originally thought it does.

My manager asked me to install/configure this with an understanding that it helps protect our data center from accidental/malicious data loss. But it seems more like preventing people from doing unwanted things on their laptops instead. So the appropriate environment for this product is actually Corporate IT instead of data center operations.

    Am I getting it right?

Your only option is to monitor the network, there is no DLP agents for Linux OS. Network Prevent will block data leaks, ICAP server can monitor HTTP/ftp traffic (Secure ICAP with ProxySG client), and Network Monitor can monitor more protocols. Read the Admin guide to understand its capabilities.
