  • 1.  Sending access logs to a certain local on Syslog

    Hi;

    I know how that access logs can be sent to a Syslog server. However, what if the Syslog server is listenting on a certain log facility like local5 for example?

    Is there a way to setup the access logs to be sent to local5 on the Syslog server?

    Kindly

    Hi Wasfi,

    The way sending Access Logs to a Syslog server is accomplished is by using the Custom Client upload client, which only allows for Host IP and port. If you can define a unique port for local5, then you could probably get it to work.

    More on sending Access Logs to a Syslog server here.

    Thanks!

    Hello Wasfi,

    To add to what Jacob mentioned.

    If you upload the Access Logs using the FTP or HTTP upload client , there is a way to specify the directory / Path to where you want those logs uploaded to on the remote server in your case local5 etc.
