  • 1.  SHM Instance may not be running error

    Good Afternoon Team,

     

    We installed ATP 2.3 Virtual Appliance.

     

    When trying to reboot the appliance we get an error stating "SHM instance may not be running, try after 5 mins", due to this issue we are unable to login to the ATP Console.

     

    If similar issue is being faced by someone and has the solution to it, please share it with me.

    I am also getting the same error. Not sure of the solution.

    I did not find anything related to this error in the ATP knowledgebase.

    You may want to engage Symantec support so they can collect and review logs.

    Good Afternoon,

     

    We had a call with Symantec and were advised to Re-install Symanted ATP Endpoint as some of the services were crashed and we were not able to start those services manually.

     

    So as suggested by Symantec Technical Executive, we Re-installed Symantec ATP Endpoint and then it was working fine.

    Recently we also faced the same issue but after two restarts of ATP server issue got fixed automattically.
