    has anyone already had the opportunity to install the new Symantec SMG 10.7.4-13 update?
    In case you can know if everything is ok?

    Do you have a virtual platform installation Hyper-V or VmWare? or physical server?

    Could the "Known issues" in the new 10.7.4 version create problems?
    In your case I think not.
    If so, I will schedule the update on my systems as well.

    All good so far.  However, I have servers that cannot download it.  Its like they took it down from download.

    Currently my systems see it as "downloadable" but I haven't tried to download. As soon as I try, I'll let you know.

    I used support account today.  Tcpdump is all screwed up in 10.7.4

    Tcpdump was removed from the support account, you have to use it from the admin account in 10.7.4

    I know its all screwed up cuz the command set has been reduced.  I cant see live packet captures any more.

    I read the release notes and understood that they had disabled the entire support account, I actually use it more commonly to download the backup files through WinSCP.

    Hi, I update to 10.7.4-13 and now the MTA service is not running. I have pressed many times but the MTA service no running.

    @Cesar Diez There is a recently discovered issue with 10.7.4 that can occur if you are using a system local other than English.

    This document explains the issue and explains that you can work around the issue by changing the local to English.
    The MTA service does start after upgrade to 10.7.4

    Do you know the Control Center UI "Chinese Traditional" language have chance come back?

    After upgrade to 10.7.4, the Chinese Traditional on Control Center UI language select option when logon, that was removed.

    Version 10.7.4 of the SMG has dropped support for some languages, per the document below:

    "SMG 10.7.4 has dropped the Korean and Chinese languages from the list of available languages for the Control Center web GUI. Supported languages are English, French, Japanese, and Spanish"

    If there is sufficient customer demand then the there is a chance to get support for Chinese Traditional, Chinese Simplified, and Korean languages re-instated.
    If the loss of these languages is causing hardship for your company, please contact your account rep/sales team and let them know.

    That is a known issue in 10.7.4. We are currently working on a fix for this issue.

    I upgraded to version 10.7.4-13. I cannot see the patch 10.7.4-285 when i click on "Check for Updates". The patch have to be downloaded manually? In case where do i download it from?

    Yes it is.  The CLI is the only thing that refences patch 285

    Hi Troy.

    I created Support ticket and got the following reply from Broadcom Support

    Cause
    The error is triggered when the underlying memory management libraries detect an unexpected function call. It is most likely the result of inefficient code, rather than a true error.

    Resolution
    SMG Engineering has reviewed this issue and believe this error can be safely ignored. We are continuing to investigate and the issue will be addressed at a later date.

    Thanks Vashan, I suspected that it was perhaps a system issue. I rebooted the appliance and the error was still occurring.
    I guess we'll wait for another patch to be released.

    Trying other mirror.

    so yeah, no luck in installing it so far

    Yes, a number of people have already installed it.
    I'll assume that you have tried a number of times and you get the same results (I think they were testing some changes on the repo servers last week).

    Have you checked the logs?  There should be a clearer indication of the root cause of the failure (timeout?, connection closed? something else?)
    in there. 

    Has your friendly IT team done anything "interesting" with firewall rules recently?

    If you can't find anything and all else fails, you should be able to download the ISO image and do a "local" update. (but definitely save this as a last resort)

    With the new version I have a problem with resolving hostname of the ip addresses that are added in the Outbound SMTP settings of the scanners.
    My internal mail servers that are added in the SMG'S outbound acceptance list cant be used if are added as hostname, smg detects the logical ip address if it is only added as an ip address.
    Does anybody else have the same issue?

    Hello all

    I did the update to the last version. I realize two problems:
    - SNMP check - It was solved after install the patch!
    - SMG stopped to send mail notifications after update to the last version.

    Anybody has already got this problem?
