  • 1.  SMG Inbound Email Scan Sequence

    Hi all,

    I'm trying to find out what is the scan sequence for inbound email for SMG. Currently we receive some complain from external domain where they receive (Delivery Status Notifications (Failure)) with a error code "554 5.7.1 You're not allowed to connect". Not able to further investigate from SMG as the incident did not showed in Message Audit Log.

    Suspect the email is already dropped at connection level. So I would like to find out what is the correct scan sequence for incoming email for SMG so that we able to further troubleshoot.

    Go to protocol, settings, look at the bottom four options

    Sorry, your reply is still not clear enough to me, do you mind to explain further?

    So far I only able to find Email Security.cloud scan order but nothing for Symantec Messaging Gateway. I'm actually looking for something similar to the link below,

    just that I wanted to know the scan order for Symantec Messaging Gateway for incoming email.

    go to smg

    protocols, settings, look at the bottom for the bottom 4 thingy's.
