SMG backup download size

Hello,

What is the max. size I could download using a browser from the device ?
SMG backup file is 2.23 GB and when I try to download from browser it says:
"The selected backup is too large to be downloaded"

I tried  IE,Edge,firefox
Any advice?
Can I connect via SFTP to SMG and download?
When I'm trying sftp it says: "Cannot initialize SFTP protocol. Is the host running an SFTP server?"
