    Hello,

We have lost too many times because of this problem.
If you upgrade from older than 4.3.x version to 4.5.4.1, you are not going be able to update BIOS successfully. Probably, BIOS update package which comes with 4.5.4.1 is corrupted. It is stucking at this point "Unpack COTTONWOOD update tools".

So that, If you are trying to update BIOS r8 to r9, you have to upgrade to middle version like 4.4.4.1, update BIOS, then upgrade to 4.5.4.1.

    Best Regards,
    Talha

    Hello Nikhil,

During BIOS upgrade, If you saw "Unpack COTTONWOOD update tools" line on the serial console, you might try to give a hard reset. I mean, You can unplug the power cords and wait 30 seconds. After you reinitialize the SSLVA it should start normally with the older BIOS r8 version. After that, you can change your software version with using GUI or CLI to older than v4.3.x version. After the downgrade, you upgrade it to v4.4.4.1 first, then upgrade BIOS to r9, and finally upgrade your software to v4.5.4.1.

If you are not able to reinitialize the SSLVA after the BIOS upgrade failure in the first place, you might open a case.
