You can take the backup of Userdb.xml for installation\upgrade on Windows as well :-

Before you run the installer we recommend that you back up the userdb.xml file usually located at \ProgramFiles\symantec\ccsvm\nsc\conf\userdb.xml

    Hi Shahbaz

The latest version for CCS Vulnerability Manager is CCS 10.0.6

If that is what you need then here is the link to download the latest installer :-

    For Windows :-

Download the latest CCSVM installer from the following link :-

    http://download2.rapid7.com/download/CCSVM-v4/CCSVMSetup-Windows64.exe

For Linux platform please download the following installer.

    CCSVM UNIX Installer:

    http://download2.rapid7.com/download/CCSVM-v4/CCSVMSetup-Linux64.bin <http://download2.rapid7.com/download/CCSVM-v4/CCSVMSetup-Linux64.bin> <http://download2.rapid7.com/download/CCSVM-v4/CCSVMSetup-Linux64.bin <http://download2.rapid7.com/download/CCSVM-v4/CCSVMSetup-Linux64.bin>>

Please take a Platform Independent Backup of CCSVM before proceeding with the following instructions.

Go to CCSVM Console>Administration>Maintenance and choose Backup/Restore Tab.

Check the "Platform-Independent" checkbox, provide a description and click "Start backup":

    2) During Backup the CCSVM Console will start up in Maintenance Mode and then once it finishes you can login again and check the same location and you should be able to see the backup file created.

3)You will need to stop the ccsvm services

4)Then run the installer using RunAs Administrator.

5)Make sure port 3780 is available. If it is not then Nexserv.exe process needs to be killed in taskmanager.

    6)Run the installer again :

7)You can choose to Check the box besides - Initialize CCSVM after installation (recommended).

8)Once installation\Upgrade is complete you need to wait for a while as CCSVM console will get loaded\initialized.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For Linux platform perform the following steps :-

    1) Stop the CCSVM services:
    sudo /etc/init.d/nexposeconsole.rc stop

    3) Change execute permissions on the downloaded installer:
    chmod +x CCSVMSetup-Linux64.bin

    4) Before you run the installer we recommend that you back up the userdb.xml file usually located at /opt/symantec/ccsvm/nsc/conf/userdb.xml

    5) Run the Installer.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I think client must be asking for CCS upgrade to version 11 then. I will confirm and get back.
