Ok so I am battling a few issues here...
I have an automation policy enabled that emails me on "Shared Guid". I have received these for a while and have never truely acted upon it but today, I took a look and it seems that 2 machines have received the same guid and I just cant figure out how to get them to reset and grab a new guid.
any help appreciated...
Suspect that in case of shared guid they already should be merged into 1 resource.
To reset GUID you can run command line on managed computer
"C:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\AeXNSAgent.exe" /resetguid
or via RAAD tool https://support.symantec.com/us/en/article.HOWTO9637.html (to make sure that their GUID is identical, etc.)
Also there is article about Shared guids (probably you've already seen them)
Sorry had a few vacations so im finally back at this!
so it is interesting... /resetguid does not reset the guid but just grabs the guid from the server again.
There is a report labeled "Duplicates that Cannot be Merged" - and it seems they have redundant mac addresses (due to an external USB NIC)...
I havent tried RAAD but will give that a shot.
